Disney World's Special Guest

In 1995, I was invited to be a guest artist for a magical signing event at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. As the guests entered the park, they received a Pipka Souvenir, and I was honored to be listed on that week's park schedule. Disney fans who visited Mickey’s Christmas Carol were invited to discover my Old World Santas limited edition figurines. I would share stories of each Santa, plus memories of Christmas.

After a long, exciting, first day, meeting hundreds of people, I headed back to my beautiful hotel room, tired and happy. As I kicked off our shoes and got ready for bed, I heard a knock on my door. Standing there was a Disney staff member with a beautiful glass pitcher of cold milk and a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies! I was elated at this thoughtful and delicious gesture. As I drifted off to sleep, I truly felt that Disney World was a land of enchantment.

A couple years later I was invited back for Epcot's Holidays Around the World.
