Best Day Ever
Paris

Today was another” This was the best day ever.” day.
It was very cold and raining so I wanted to go to Musee d’Orsay…sold out for the next two weeks. I heard the Rodin museum was nice and not as crowded as the other museums so I got a taxi and was dropped off at the front door. There were only a few people there. We waited in the rain for about 10 minutes until the doors opened to showcase a magnificent building in front of us. And gardens. Oh, what gardens. Pruned trees and rose covered trees everywhere with Rodine sculptures tucked in between. I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. I went right to The Thinker and snapped a photo. Then inside to see all the sculptures. The sculptures are amazing but also amazing is the incredible building. They must’ve been 18 foot ceilings with marble fireplaces and mirrors from floor to ceiling framed with intricate wood designs, crystal chandeliers hanging.
Then I went outside and walked the paths, Rose trees in full bloom lining every path, emitting their sweet fragrance. I wish I could’ve shared that delightful Rose sent with you . There’s even a small forest filled with sculptures and benches. This is now my new favorite museum. And I will have to put this museum back on my bucket list so that I can come when the weather is warm to sit on one of those benches and just BE.
